To avoid adverse reactions, let the room purifier run for a bit without anyone in the room to allow time to filter out any disturbed dust. Some integrated air purifiers in HVAC systems may end up growing mold or bacteria on them, a serious health concern and possible asthma aggravator. Spare replacement air filters should be kept on hand so that if a filter needs to be replaced due to mold growth, it can be done so immediately.
